The volunteers of the St. Paul Fire Dept. are very involved in the community be it through fundraisers for many causes, tours, education, etc... We have many organisations we raise funds for, below are a few examples. The group also take part in several events to assist causes or promote goodwill through the community.
Organizations that the St.Paul Fire Department raises funds for:
Muscular Dystrophy Canada - Canadian Fire Fighters have played an integral role for Muscular Dystrophy Canada since 1954. Fire Fighters across Canada have pledged their continuing support “until a cure is found.” Muscular Dystrophy Canada has become a National Organization supported by more than 600 Fire Departments and Associations across Canada. The St.Paul Fire Department has been raising donations for this cause for a number of years, and with the generous support from residents of St.Paul we have been able to donate to such a willing cause. Thank you St.Paul for your ongoing support.
Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada - MS Society is the only national voluntary organization in Canada that supports both MS research and services, and the MS Walk has been a critical part of the MS Society's fundraising efforts for over 20 years. Proceeds from this event and others like it provide support and services to help those living with this disease, their families and caregivers. They also fund research with three primary goals: to find a cause and cure for MS, repair nervous system damage caused by MS and stop MS attacks. Alberta Fire Fighters' Burn Camp - The Firefighters Burn Treatment Society, Edmonton Chapter, is managed and supported by firefighters who volunteer and dedicate their time. The St.Paul Fire Department has been donating to this great cause for a number of years. Your Hearts work with our hearts to provide hope, relief and reduce suffering for burn survivors and their families. Help us to give back the quality of life these people deserve.
"Burn Camp.......is a place where a young burn survivor can be just another kid."
